During the cold war Ambri was a first response airbase, hidden from everyone. Even on the postcards the airstrip was comoufled

18 Hunters MK58 were stored in the enormous bunker under the mountain. During the flight duty some 400 airmans worked in the bunker, now empty but fully operational.
